100% Bluefaced Leicester Wool in 2 skein sizes: (1) 82m / 25g (2) 377m / 115g
Untreated Bluefaced Leicester yarn is soft to the skin but completely steek-able for fairisle knitting. It is also very hard-wearing. I wind 25g skeins from cones, before dyeing them, to offer a smaller skein option for those hat or mittens projects where you don’t need a full 115g skein of each colour.
100% British Bluefaced Leicester Wool, 166m / 100g
Bluefaced Leicester is a beautiful long-stapled fibre that is both soft and durable – a rare compromise in 100% wool. British BFL, in particular, is of exceptionally high quality. It’s sometimes hard to find colours that are subtle enough to wear as a full sweater, but still rich enough to enjoy knitting. I tried to achieve both with this palette. This is my ultimate sweater yarn, and it works well for accessories too.
75% Superwash Merino / 20% Nylon / 5% Stellina, 400m / 100g
This stellina sock yarn is my excuse to create the bright and brilliant colours. A sparkling yarn deserves a vibrant dye. This yarn creates a subtle sparkly fabric for socks, shawls or garments.
All the yarn here is hand-dyed by myself (Shaulaine), in Cambridge Ontario. It is all dyed to order, so expect delivery in 3-4 weeks. If you need it faster, contact me for options!
My exclusive distributor (and friend) is Galt House of Yarn. I highly recommend stopping by the store to see and feel this yarn, along with all the other lovely yarns there. Anne has a sample of all the colours to help with your project planning.
All prices shown here are in Canadian dollars, but I ship worldwide.
